Orlando Brown to Get Mental Evaluation Before Trial

Orlando Brown, former star of the hit Disney show "That's So Raven," is facing a legal battle after being charged with aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor in Ohio, for a December arrest.

According to legal documents, his attorney has requested a mental evaluation to determine his fitness for court proceedings.

The results of the evaluation may play a role in Brown's plea, as he currently maintains a plea of not guilty.

The arrest occurred after law enforcement in Ohio received a call about a fight between two men. The alleged victim claimed that during an argument, Brown charged at him while wielding a knife and hammer

Brown was living with the alleged victim at the time, who was attempting to help the entertainer get back on his feet and restart his career. Unfortunately, the incident cost the alleged victim a potential movie role for Brown.

Since his release from custody on Friday, Brown is currently under house arrest and was able to post a bond of $25,000.

It is not the first time Brown has faced legal issues. In 2018, he was arrested in his underwear on an outstanding warrant. He has also faced charges for narcotics possession and alleged burglary

He previously appeared on Dr. Phil for an intervention-style interview after a string of arrests including burglary, drug possession, resisting arrest, and domestic battery.

While it appeared that Brown was working to turn his life around, it seems that he may have fallen back into old patterns.
